If you have a good quality piece of furniture but the fabric is worn, you may want to consider reupholstering the piece. A good upholsterer can remove existing fabric and breathe new life into the piece with the addition of a nice upholstery weight fabric. If necessary, they can also replace the existing foam if it is old, disintegrating or just plain worn out. Once done, you essentially have a new piece of furniture that will last for many years. This service generally includes pick-up and delivery of the piece.
Keep in mind that outdoor furniture can also be recovered with Sunbrella fabrics that are made specifically to withstand the weather elements (such as sun and water). This is a great way to get a new look without purchasing new furniture.
If you are working with a decorator, they should be able to bring samples of all appropriate fabric options to address your specific needs.
