With the summer months approaching, it is time to consider “sun” issues as they relate to your home. Our standard procedure is to use blackout lining on all of our custom draperies. This practice has many benefits. In addition to creating a rich look for your custom window treatments, this type of lining protects your fabrics, home furnishings and wood flooring. In addition, it is a great insulator which helps keep the cool air “in” and the warm air “out”.
Another method to consider is window tinting. This is a cost effective process where film is professionally applied to your windows to protect them from the sun’s damaging rays. It’s also very helpful if you have a “glare” issue when trying to watch TV!
